Steven Croft
Our scheduled speaker John Abrahams (ex Lancashire) unfortunately was unable to attend due to taking up duties with the England under 19s team. We were treated to a very entertaining evening by our 1999 Junior Player of the year Steven Croft who is a local born cricketer who played for Blackpool C.C, and now is a distinguished member of Lancashire CCC, well known and respected for his all round cricket ability.
He conducted a very interesting questions and answer evening and it was a pleasure to listen to a very dedicated sportsman. He informed us that he started his cricket in Sri Lanka at the age of 11 where his parents lived due to his father's employment. How he has progressed in cricket from those early days! He answered many members questions and gave us an insight into his life as a professional cricketer .
