The Society were forced to cancel the January dinner after severe winter weather disrupted travel arrangements. Steve Garratt was one of those affected although he kindly offerred to make the difficult journey to Blackpool. The Committee decided that the weather had affected the expected turnout enough to make the dinner uneconomical and sensibly cancelled the event. It was hoped to rearrange the dinner for April but with the new cricket season scheduled to start in mid April we were unable to find a suitable guest speaker. Steve Garratt is hoping to be our guestat a dinner in the 2010 - 11 season.
